Maybe the most unlikely pick of the 100. I thought it would be fun to do it with all guys. Does anyone have to be told anything about this song or The Spice Girls? Ok. The above wrote the song in a half hour. It was recorded in less than an hour, but went through several mixes before the group was satisfied. They wanted it to be their first single. Record company says, “no”. Group adamant. Company gives in. It went on to top the charts in 37 countries, and was voted best single of the year and worst single of the year in the UK. It’s the best-selling record by a girl group in history. A 2014 study acclaimed it as the most easily recognizable pop song of the last 60 years. I have issues with the last thing there, but, like I said, ok.
